Different Worlds

EP of original acoustic songs

1.  Different Worlds **

This begins to describe how meaningful it was to meet Brenda, and how my life being changed so much because of that.

2.  First Light

I recorded this instrumental years ago for the album "Christmas Day Will Soon Be Here" with The Mistletoes.

3.  So Sad (when you leave the room) **

After being retired for a few years, Brenda and I really got used to spending more time together. I kept telling her I felt so sad whenever she walked out of the room. That became this song.  I gave this song to Brenda for our 42nd wedding anniversary.

4.  A Single Word

An item or event can lead to totally different outcomes, depending on timing or perspective.

5.  Can't Wait (to see you again)

Years ago I had to make a lot a trips between California and New Mexico. On these long 14 hour drives, I really missed being away from Brenda.  So I put those feeling into this song.

6.  Journey's End

One way of telling my children I will always be there for them, or at least help guide them along the way.

7.  How Long

Just before Pearl Harbor was attacked, the U.S. Army confiscated land from 98 ranchers in New Mexico, including my grandparents, to build White Sands Missile Range. Some of this land was used to test the first nuclear weapon and agent orange.  Lake Lucero, at White Sands National Park, was named after my great grandfather.

8.  One Look (from across the room) **

This is about how I first met Brenda at a college dance, and eludes to the fact that so many unrelated out-of-the-blue things had to happen and perfectly fall into place for us to finally meet.  By all odds, we never should have met, but we did. I wrote this for Brenda for our 40th wedding anniversary.

** indicates the song is played in the guitar tuning is EGDGBD.
